Hi helen7, and welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately, any defaults or late payments etc will remain on your credit record for around 6 years, helen, so you may struggle to find a lender. As ?1,500 is not a large loan, you could possibly ask your bank. You did very well to clear those debts though! :-)
