Can my teenage son have a debit card on his account?

by , 3 months agoOpen Question

I am looking to get my son a new current account, he would like a card that can be used in the cash machines and to pay in a shop. Are there any banks that offer that facility?

Hi Jo71, and welcome to the forum.

You don't say how old your son is, but the BarclayPlus account might be suitable.

I see you've just added the info that he's 14, so the BarclayPlus would be fine, it's for 11-15 year olds.

Santander do one too for 11-15 year olds.
