we are both in our 50s were living abroad running a bar we then moved back to britain and would like to buy a house with no deposit are there lenders that would help
Not without a deposit, no. You will need at least 20% these days. There are a very few that will lend more but none offering 100%.

Just to add that being in your 50s shouldn't be a problem, so long as you don't want your mortgage duration to run past your normal retirement age.
It's not your age that's the problem, it's the lack of deposit unfortunately :(
