What does 0% balance transfer mean?

A 0% balance transfer is where you move your outstanding balance from an expensive credit card to a second credit card which will give you X months without charging you any interest.

You are usually charged a small fee (usually between 2-4%) for moving your balance onto the 0% card but this can be a good way to make your credit card borrowing less expensive and easier to pay off.
