I just won a 7 day holiday in Marbella - flights not included of course - I did think it a fiddle as its obviously a holiday-share gimmick to get you to attend a meeting on the resort but from what I have managed to spear from the backside of their donkey they do sound legit and the holiday-share thing does actually sound quite attractive and the resorts look ok (Well Apart from Marbella but then that plainly obvious really!!!)
Booked and paid the refundable ?50 deposit - Not as first descirbed and given in cash back at the resort but in a voucher you can spend in the resort! hmmmm fibs already!!!
I will let you know for sure if its a con when i get back as there are a few questions about this company on the "OTHER" money website!
I am by nature a risk taker and skint so lets just go for it - then if it is a con I will make it my lifes work to destroy the company via email , facebook , twitter , spam , emailbomb and any other nefarious web tactic I can garner from my years of experience as a covert surveillance analyst.

Club La Costa are a long and well established company down there - not sure of their practises but they are betwen Marbella and Fuengirola... make sure when you are there that you dont get roped in to the sales pitch as they will try every trick of the book!
Thanks but dont worry I am hardened to their sales pitch they will get absolutely nowhere - I was actually interested in their club until i saw it cost over ?500 for a studio place for only 1 weeks stay - Mind you it could be any of 100's of places all over the world.
I dont usually go on these tourist trap things I am usually backpacking and hitchiking across eastern europe or going flight only to a destination it makes it much more fun.
My idea of hell is lying relaxing on a beach all day - I like to see the culture and experience the hidden gems of a holiday - Must admit I am addicted to castles they are my passion!
Any castles in Marbella!

completely agree with you although i do like relaxing sometimes. If I were you, go up to Ronda in the mountains - very cultural! Marbella isnt too bad - the centre is cure especially in Orange square and because it is not summer, is quiet and the Spanish come out...
Oh Omen, that's much more my idea of a holiday than laying on a beach like my ex wanted to do!! Are you looking at this time share thing to rent out? Can't see you going to the same place time and time again!
Time share on the costas is a complete and utter con. However as you are skint I dont think you can have much conned out of you , perhaps you can get a job with them (cash of course).Or string them along and get as much free grub and booze as you can, dont forget to sign anything with a rather ficticious / amended name tho' will you ?

Went to one of those presentations years ago and it was so high pressure, they physically barred the door for about five hours!
Although I know of them, I wouldn't go anywhere near but I'm sure u know how to say no! Get as much freebies as you can though!!
