Also need info on better electricity deals
Hi,
Have a look at uswitch or switchwithwhich and have your annual usage to hand!
Hi nonam, and welcome to the forum.
There's a selection of comparison sites here...

As G-Man says, use your annual usage figures in kWh for the best comparison.
I've been with EDF for several years now I run a one bedroom flat all electric up till recently it cost ?24 a month and recently went up to ?27 a month. I do get a discount for D/D and paperless billing for uploading my meter readings and because I'm claiming benefits I get a reduction for that too. I really have no complaints with them and since most energy suppliers are reducing their costs now my bill will be back to ?24pm - I've not used Southern Gas so can't really comment on them
Never knew EDF did discount for people on benefits
I think if you go to the website there should be something in the FAC's all I had to do was forward a letter from DHSS confirming I was in receipt of benefits. They might even have 'Live Chat' you could always ask there to make sure it's still available
don't be blinkered into thinking that these are the be all and end all i found out that the co-op is on par with my old smartsaver7-online account i had with edf which was the cheapest online saver account 2011(no longer vailable from edf from dec2011) remember things like all the other user except the co-op has other charges which means what the share holder gets from each account the co-op have no share holders and are very competative and now that you can get gas and electric seperate that makes things much cheaper all round. i'm with co-op for gas and edf for electric for now and go compare and u-switch every time i put in my online meter readings, make sure your not getting ripped off.
Well done Stuart, always wise to check comparisons to make sure you're getting the best deal
