Trying to open any account.since im starting a new job in a couple of weeks.now,my credit rating is poor.any advises.thx

I am currently dealing with someone who has had problems opening up a basic bank account to have his pay cheques paid into. He is currently paying ?20 a time to have his cheques cashed at a money shop which can be as much as ?100 in a five week month. I have referred him to his local Citizens Advice Bureau as it's a common problem and they well may have local knowledge. Worth an enquiry I suggest.

You could also try the post office for a basic current account.
