been in job for 4 months on a temporary contract, have been told by many members of staff including manager that will more than likely be kept on but this is of course no guarantee, my partner and i want to try for another child just want to know if my work can get rid of me with me being a temp? thanks
Temporary workers have the same maternity rights as permanent workers including the right to return to the job at the end of maternity leave assuming the post still exists at that time. You will have to have a look at the Company's Maternity Policy as many Companies give benefits above the statutory minimum.
