Christmas comes in the middle of extreme hot Summer season in some countries like Australia and New Zealand I believe.
I love a winter Christmas with the snow falling, log fires and holly and mistletoe. I can't imagine having Christmas in the summer season with warm weather but I suppose you have to improvise to make it a good day.
My perference is wintry but I know that such wipeouts cause many such misery that the period of goodwill disapates and is replaced with bah humbug!
As a compromise one day of perfect snow, with snowmen, chestnuts roasting on an open fire and mulled wine a la Bing Crosby in White Christmas!
Parchester has got it right, I think. One day of magical snow, then back to normal so no misery on the roads and getting snowed in.
I can't imagine Christmas in Australia with a barbie on the beach!
Ooh I love Parchester's idea, perfect snow as long as I'm snuggled up warm in front of a fire, with a cat on my lap, and my dog at my feet, a good book and a glass of something nice :)
It has to be at home in the cold snowy wintry day for me!! That's how its known as the way it's meant to be. I love the idea of xmas tree lit up log fire burning and the smell of the xmas dinner cooking. I like the films on tv and the xmas programmes and watch the queen's speech (always intriguing) and quite partial to a game of scrabble with my daughter. I enjoy the time off in general so relaxing but i can bet there always will be a client that will text to make an appt for when she can have her next eye brow wax!!! This drives me nuts but it always happens!!!
Not on Christmas day surely??? Hmmm..never had mine waxed..is it better than plucking......?
Sorry.. going off topic..you're going to think I'm obsessed..... @)
Definitely waxed, as long its done properly so make sure is a reputable therapist thats comes recommended..
I'm going to end up looking like a plucked chicken at this rate :)
Honestly Jazzj every christmas day i get a text from a client regarding an appt!!
That's terrible Serena!! Do they think you have nothing better to do?? And I guess you have to be polite to them........................
Years ago i would take my diary out and reply not now i just ignore it!! I get so many lovely xmas texts then when i see this one it deflating!!!
Definitely a sparkly snow-covered wintry Christmas. I have family in Australia and they send photos of them all in their bikinis and shorts having a Christmas barbie...I think they hope I'm green with envy...I'm not, I'd hate that!
Woundn't it be nice if it could be warm and sunny but with snow on the ground?
Think it needs to be a bit chilly to feel like Christmas!
Not in my books... :)
