We have e-mailed the company about this but they just ignore any contact from us. We have recedntly received a statement from one of the companies we owed money to and they do not appear to have received any payment from the IVA company. Is there an ombudsman we can complain to.
Hi piggin, and welcome to the forum.
You could contact the Financial Ombudsman Service for advice...

I don't know for sure if they deal with IVA companies, but I'm sure they could advise you, contact details here...

Alternatively, contact the Citizens Advice Bureau, who can point you in the right direction...
Hi,
As Fruitcake has already said, you can complain to the Financial Ombudsman Service however you need to go through the IVA company's internal complaints procedure first - they will have eight weeks to respond to you before the Financial Ombudsman Service will step in.
It's also worth checking whether the company is a member of a trade body, such as the Debt Resolution Forum (http://www.debtresolutionforum.org.uk ). If the company is a member of such a trade body, then you should be able to lodge a complaint against the company via this route.
For your information, the procedure for when an IVA is completed is that you should be provided a Certificate of Completion which will confirm that you have successfully completed your arrangement. You should also receive a report detailing all the contributions that you have made and showing how these were disbursed as to fees and dividends to your creditors.
In addition to this, your IVA company should also send a copy of your Certificate of Completion to your creditors so they can update their systems and then notify the credit reference agencies.
