I have a hyundia car bought new in 2007 on finance it has suffered a lot of problems covered under warranty costing £5000

by , 7 months agoOpen Question

I am covered under the Comsumer Credit Act 1974 therefore section 75 can apply. But is this just for the initial purchase or can it run for the duration of the loan which is 5 years.
The warranty runs out in another 9 months so I am concerned that I will be getting large repair bills. I have also lost faith in the reliabilty of the car. Any advice would be appreciated

My initial reaction was to say that, as Japanese car manufacturers have such a good reputation, this must be a one off.

After looking at this website:

I'm not so sure. Indeed to judge from the comments about Honda & Subaru their reputation has gone out of the window.

Out of curiosity, as a Volvo owner, I looked up Volvo on the site and there had only been two comments in all, one positive and one negative.

I suspect that, after the warranty period of 4 years? is up, you won't have any legal rights worth the paper they are written on.
