On the eve of a verdict in Amanda Knox's appeal against her conviction for murdering British student Meredith Kercher do you believe that she was innocent? The murder of Meredith Kercher occurred in Perugia, Italy, on 1 November 2007. Kercher, aged 21 at the time of her death, was a British university exchange student from Coulsdon, South London. She shared an upstairs flat with three other young women.
I don't think anyone can commit themselves to an opinion here CS. All I am aware of from the copious press that has surrounded this case is that there remains effective arguments both for and against the conviction. What I will say is that Ms Knox's apparent optimism is based on grounds for an unsafe conviction and as such if she is acquitted then the world may simply never know the truth.
If she was guilty she is not going to have a happy life.....
