We're renting apt in Eastbourne for 5-mths. No phone # but we're told wiring is there.How do we find no contract line installer?

Answering my own question. Forget BT who insist on a minimum 18-month contract before they will even talk to you about a telephone line. Instead try O2 who are quite happy to provide a month to month deal, are very efficient (they installed the land line 3-days earlier than promised) and have a very professional on-line "guru" facility. Plaudits to O2. To BT; you obviously have more business than you can handle so good for you.
