When I signed up with Lovefilm over a year ago I got 14 days free subscription but no M&S voucher :(
I would imagine you will have to speak to them before you cancel your subscription or they might not sign you up again. Personally I would cancel it and not join again and save myself a lot of money but there again I'm on
a saving money spree at the moment and always ask myself "do I really need it" and nine times out of ten I don't!!!!
Just think Lana you will be all that money better off.
I'm not sure how I get the time Feline. When I was doing this I was working 60 hours a week as well! However, sometimes at weekends I just wanted to zone out and could easily watch 3 films in a row with my partner. Then again I don't have children, so I have plenty of time to watch dvds!
I don't have children either, Lana, and I'm retired, but I still don't have time for this stuff!
I look through the TV times Lana and record them to the hard drive and watch them when I have time. There's usually a couple of good ones but you probably like different things to me which is only natural. I also buy mine off Amazon and have had some great ones for £3. Very occasionally I do sneak one into my basket which is a bit more expensive and have got a blue ray of Michael Flatley on order. No comment on that one Lana I drive my husband crazy with the Riverdance.
I must admit I buy a lot of dvds, but I buy good condition ones second hand from Oxfam. Without Oxfam, I wouldn't be able to afford my book and film addictions! I do have trouble finding the time to watch all the dvds, but I quite like having a stack sitting there ready for when I've got a couple of spare hours! I panic when the stack gets too low!
I used to buy ones from Sainsburys ranging from £3 to £6 - don't buy them anymore, just use Lovefilm. I can't remember ever paying full price for a dvd, unless it was a gift for someone else. I have bought DVDs from Charity shops too - there are some good finds in charity shops!
Most of my DVDs are not blue ray but they are watched
over and over again if I like them. I usually save films for
the winter as I like to be outside in the sunshine.
Oh whereabouts do you live Sabre - it sounds wonderful - we hardly get any sunshine in London - it can't get through all the pollution.

My thoughts, exactly, Sabre!
We saved a lot of money in the first place by joining Lovefilm. We were spending over £50 a month on dvds and now we just spend £15 a month. I suspect if I cancel just to get 1 month free and the M&S voucher they may not sign me up again!
Hi Lana - Get out into the Countryside with your walking boots or bikes and get the fresh air for nothing - then you'll save lots of money.
£50 pm on renting DVDs? my god you are a film buff aren't you lana ;-)
Sabre do you live in the countryside?
I go for walks and exercise most days but it's not the same as being in the countryside or by the ocean. I live in London, so limited to parks and the gym!
How on earth does anybody find the time to watch 50 quid's worth of DVD's in a month?
I barely have time to catch up with Coronation Street!
Sits back and waits for flak.
