if i pay off my 2 no ccj worth 6k before jan 2013 (when the 6 yrs is up) will this have a positive effect on my credit rating?

by , 8 months agoOpen Question

or will they still be on my file so therefore everyone will still see it... in addition by end of september 2011 i will of paid off all my outstanding debt, with the exception if the 2 mentioned CCJ's. My car will be paid off in February 2012, or I could pay it off in October 2011, and be done with it..... any suggestions / idea's / advice. Thank you xx

Hi Natasha...If you pay the CCJ,s off early they will still show on your credit file, however, if you get a certificate of satisfaction of the Courts the CCJ,s will show as satisfied...If you pay your car finance off early too, this will show as settled which will help your credit rating...You can add notifications on your credit file to say the debts have now been paid off etc...and that you are now debt free...depends on lenders whether you would get future credit, from my experience (I was in debt 5 years ago, now paid off)...most creditors are looking at the last 3 years of payments...
