as far as I am aware, one cannot disassociate from someone with whom you have jointly taken out financial products. To be able to do this, you need to get your name off the mortgage first. If you have been unsuccessful with this, you may want to speak with your local CAB; they should be able to help. Maybe an intervention from one of the broadsheet's money column may also help.
