I am used to fixed mortgage rates over a 15 to 30 Yr period, which is what we had in the USA. Does that exist in the UK? Where?

Hi karinj welcome to the forum
UK mortgage market is different from the USA. Here we are more accustomed to swithcing mortgage providers every few years.

There are only 2 providers that I can find that offer 10 years fixed rate products. If you are looking to fix a mortgage, you should consider a 5 year fixed deal ... If you do go for the 10 year fixed deal, check all the small print about ERC and the portability of the mortgage.

No you will not find any mortgage deals in the UK fixed for that long a time.
