What part of the country are you in Jajanie?
hi jajajanie,
If you are around london, there are some very good museums which are free - Natural History Museum, Sciene Museum
A trip to the south bank is also worthwhile although you may end up spending a lot if you are perusaded by the kids to take you in the london eye.
Also there are parks in & around where you can have picnics. A fun place also is a Pick Your Own fruits & veg farm. Some even have a picnic area.
