Or if it runs out before, when will it?
Hello trefor,
What you need is a scheme/investment/fund that will give you a monthly income of £300 on £25000 capital. That equates to an yearly yield of 14.4%
No investment in the world can give you that without putting your capital at risk. If it does, then it more likely is a scam.
Frankly you are expecting too much from a small amount.
Hi trefor and welcome to the forum.
If you think about it, £300 a month withdrawals over 108 months ( 9 years ) will total £32,400. Frankly, with miserable interest rates ( now deemed to stay until 2014 ) I cannot see that happening as, and this is a guess, your money should run out very soon after 7 years.
Seem to be a lot of crazy questions posted in the last hour = trolls methinks.
Hello to all my Money friends I am hailing from the lovely town of Presov Slovakia = we are having torrential storms and waves of tidal proportions coming from the mountains never before seen it is wiping out crops and trees = we truly are in a global warming pre zuvembie apocalypse mode here

Well, Omen, we all know Eastern Europe is famous for trolls, vampires, etc!

Hello Omen, and hello to Presov! Hope you're not too damp... :-)

If you are old enough and or smoke and or have something dodgy about your health then an impaired life annuity can indeed exceed 14.4% (and they are not scams !). OR if you lend me the £25K I would be VERY happy to pay you back your capital and interest at £300 per month. Work out that APR if you know how to do the maths and its a lot lower than 14.4% !!!!! So this is possible with the right investments I think, not easy, lots of work with the calculator and 25K split into different fixed term products but I reckon its do-able. Perhaps we can get an A-level maths student to do it for his homework ? Or do we need a graduate ?
