eBay seems like a lot of faff and I tried that musicmagpie website and they were only offering 30p a pop so any suggestions would be appreciated.
How about Amazon Marketplace...

...although I think your best bet would be car boot sale.
Hi,
The most obvious places would be ebay and as fruitcake mentioned, Amazon market place.
But there are other online alternatives too like
http://www.musicmagpie.co.uk/ or http://www.webuydvds.co.uk/
Had a quick read and it seems that the process is quite simple. You enter the barcode on your DVD and it tells you how much the company will pay for the DVD. Looks like you will get less on either of these compared to what you can get on ebay, but AFAIK the sell is immediate.
One more point - having not used them personally, can't say whether these are reliable businesses.
You could try advertising them on Gumtree, where you can keep the advertising to your local area so buyers can collect from you to save postage costs.
Ooh I didn't know you could put DVDs on gumtree. Will have to investigate.
Otherwise car boot sale it is I guess.
Thanks all
You can put just about anything on Gumtree, LP! And much less effort than going to a boot sale.
Will have to give it a go this weekend. Thanks!
