Valued Opinions? Are they worth doing?

by , 1 year agoClosed Question

Hi, I have had an invite to join Valued Opinions - reading their rewards programme reveals that they pay anywhere between 5p - £5.00 for surveys.

Does anybody regularly use Valued Opinions? How often do you get surveys? How often do you not qualify, and how far in do you know if you don't qualify? How often do the £5 surveys come up and have you had any of the specialist surveys that pay £50?

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

They're not bad, Vettriano, I've earned £15 worth of vouchers in just under 3 months. I get the surveys fairly often, but don't always qualify. Have never been offered a £5 or £50 survey. Highest value I've ever been offered is £1.50. As Feline says, their surveys are quite good quality though.

Thanks, Vettriano, got sent a £2.50 survey today (they must read money.co.uk!) but sadly I didn't qualify!

You have to be canny to qualify - inother words judge the questions and lie!

You're right, Omen, one learns how to manipulate them.

I signed up to Valued Opinions when I was a student, and after the first couple of weeks when I got a few surveys through, I rarely got sent any others. I don't know how much the site has changed since then, but I certainly didn't think it was worth it and would take a while to build up any worthwhile money for my time. I would be interested to hear how you get on though if you do end up signing up.

i joined onepoll few days ago and you get 2.50 for signing up and within 3 days im on 6 pound plenty of surveys , they payout when you reach 40 pound so its worth a try and the surveys are minutes long, im also with yoursaypays and they pay out when you reach 20 pound there surveys are minutes aswell, ive tryed valued opinions and its rare they send me any and can be boring to keep looking when they never send any.

I just got my first £40 from onepoll. Some of their surveys are a bit silly, but they're very short and if they pay me for filling in silly surveys that's fine by me.

feline how long did it take you to reach your 40 pound??

by krlll08, 1 year ago

Hi, krill. Can't remember excactly but probably about nine months. Sounds a long time but it only takes a couple of minutes a day so it's money for old rope.

I shall look forward to that, Omen, and hope you will deliver the winnings in person on your white charger! Meanwhile I will put the kettle on and look for the Earl Grey at the back of the cupboard. On second thoughts, it might be a bit stale so you'll just have to have gin.

Waits 10 seconds for fruity and Lillie to hear that from the next continent.....

Here...sorry, had the music on a bit loud!

Signed up to Onepoll and filled out a few surveys, recommended a friend and within 15 mins of signing up am up to £3.75!

Sorry Feli9ne another wasted £1 but i had 12 hours of anticipation and dreams of Villas in Italy and Farms in Slovakia.....aahaaah

Never mind there is always teh premium bonds!
lol

by Omendata, 1 year ago

Oh, Omen I trembled with anticipation all night too!

The £25 I won this month on the Premium Bonds won't fund a villa in Tuscany I'm afraid, but I'll certainly remember you when I win the big one!

Hi,

The rewards paid are lower than they used to be - you'll average £2-£3 per hour nowadays. They used to be much better (£5-£8 an hour) but there are too many internet survey sites nowadays, all bidding to get the information more cheaply than the other, thus reducing the money available to reward those who participate :(

I've never had a specialist survey. Think you need to register as the CEO of a FTSE100 company to get one of them :)

Still, if you've got nothing else to do for 15 - 30 mins, it makes sense to make a little extra money by doing a survey I guess...

I think so. I get a £10 Tesco voucher every couple of months, and their surveys are quite good quality.

by Feline123, 1 year ago

Absolutely yes - I am a master of the surveys - theirs are usually not monumental in length unlike Toluna and others - payout is fair (as fair goes) and you get paid very quickly.

One of the best in my humble opinion!

I went onto this website.Seemed to 'hover' below the amount I could take out, then had very few invites to take part in. I gave it up as a bad job.

Now on Panelbase. Same sort of thing really, but I am going to stick with it for a while!

by Trancer, 1 year ago

Trancer, my survey invites on Valued Opinions were slow to start with too, but I stuck with it and it improved. Good luck with Panelbase.
