I interested what annoys people the most, one thing that annoys me is other motorist who cant be bothered to indicate, to you all you lazy so and so's, YOU ANNOY ME! Ha ha.
Hi darry, ooh yes why do people insist on not indicating especially on roundabouts,it certainly is guaranteed to raise my blood pressure.
Also as Snoopy mentioned in one of his earlier posts about people tailgaiting in these awful driving conditions, it's abject madness and bound to incur the cars getting a textured look when braking, ooooh, grrr.
Yes, it has to be people that tailgate. Not only is it dangerous and intimidating, but what is the point in being one car length behind you when there is often nothing in front for half a mile and nothing behind for half a mile? I hate those alphastrokeoscars with avengeance!
Mine has to be people in wrong lanes, who then cut dangerously in.
I always make sure to use the right lane, or at least to wait patiently with my indicator on if I've got it wrong. So often, cars will speed up at my side and cut into my lane inches in front of my car. Argh!
Sorry about this but I think this site should be used to ask questions about money and not motoring - that's what I hate?
Good point, what do you hate about money?
Probably not having enough of it!
Ok thanks for that- but aren't we supposed to be taking about MONEY ? not cars etc - surely if you want to have a discussion about cars or whatever else there are certainly much better sites to do this. I know the folk here are very polite .... but I prefer to talk about money here - that's what it's for isn't it?
I'm with you on this one, darry, I get really annoyed at drivers who don't indicate! Tailgating comes a very close second though. And then there's those drivers who drive at a permanent 40mph, regardless of the speed limit, you know, the ones who drive at 40 along a 30mph road, then when you follow them on to the 60mph road they still drive at 40! Grrr.
I can see the grit in your teeth fruitcake. I hope you have seen one of my questions where I've praised you for being no1.
I did see that, darry, and responded a day or so ago, thank you! :-)
Yip picture matches the person - very cool dude'ess.
Definitely deserves to be number 1.
Shucks, Omendata, my cheeks match my hair now! You and darry are so sweet tho, thanks guys! :-)
I will have to challenge Darry to a fight it seems.
Keyboards at dawn sir!
May the best typist win!
Fighting over the girl ay, what would she think of us, well I'm up at 5am in the morning if that's good enough sir!
Furitcake look what you've done..... Must say though I'm loving the red hair look and bunches, is that your real look?
She thinks you're both very sweet and very silly! Absolutely no fighting, guys!:-)
Darry, the hair is very much that colour, but it's too long and thick now for bunches, I do have the side wisps and it's usually in a long Lara Croft style side plait.
Dont you dare mention Lara Croft grrrrrr
I'm feeling rather faint now.
Totally agree, fruitcake. One of the main roads I have to use quite often has very limited opportunities for overtaking with lots of blind bends and hills. I inevitably get behind the 40mph merchant, when it would be perfectly safe to drive at 60, then as soon as we reach the 30mph area I slow down and he speeds off still doing 40, completely oblivious to anything.
Everything annoys me these days it seems - Maybe I am going through the midlife crisis now I am 40.
If its not the massive queues at the post office or bank because they dont have enough staff at lunch time (I mean isnt it logical that at lunchtime you will need more staff so let them take their lunches later for goodness sake).
Then its the fact employers never have the common decency to reply to a job application that took you 30 minutes to fill in. I even went for a job interview, got a second interview and they didnt even have the courtesy to send a 5 second blanket email to say thanks but no thanks so i was left hanging on wondering.
Kids that think its funny to hit you on the back of the head with a snowball! Not so funny when you hit them on the back of the head with your hand though is it!
Kids that have no respect for the elderly.
People who put their feet on the seats on the bus and dirty the seats or who think its ok to smoke on the bus as long as they open the window.
Politicians, lawyers, garages that overcharge, the local council, the state of the roads in the UK, cost of public transport and lack oif timeliness, the bankers...
I shall stop there lest this reach War and Peace proportions.
Moan moan moan...
Yeah go for it Omendata get it off your chest, wow lots annoy you, I did laugh at the kids throwing snow balls at you though.
Hi Omendata
You have to let it go, before you get an ulcer! LOL
Lol I already have an ulcer!!!
Now where did I put that Gaviscon>?
Oh Gaviscon - Can't stand the stuff - Until I got pregnant - then I used to keep a bottle in the car, a bottle in my desk at work and a bottle besides the bed and I used to just swig it from the bottle like a wino drinking white lighting......
I can recommend Pepcid PM - Gaviscon only lasts for a few hours but Pepcid is a protopump inhibitor - basically stops your stomach producing acid anbd it works for 24 hours!
Great stuff!
As this is a money site (although I do agree with you about people who do not indicate), what annoys me is that City bankers are getting huge bonuses this Christmas in spite of being bailed out by us, the tax payers only 2 years ago and causing such problems for our economy. Why are they not giving us a bonus for our generosity?
Am with you on that, Sidesalad!
Now we are getting onto the money, everyone would agree with that sidesalad I'm sure. What else annoys me is the cost of conveyancing for a rental property, licence to print money, a cost for this, a cost for that, and a cost of top of the cost for that. Now that really annoys me the cost of conveyancing!
The thing that most annoys me is bad manners! There is no reason for bad manners and not saying thank you! This is also the case when driving, if I let you through, thank me!! Rant over...
Oh wow, how right you are, especially the bit about letting drivers through ..... when I am in nice guy mode, I do this all the time, relishing the delight in pleasing my fellow road users. But there is nothing worse than letting a female through and seeing her drive past, nose in air, almost like she is claiming regal rights. But with men, it's the old 'cheers mate' thing, isn't it?
I always try to acknowledge people when driving, whether they're male or female, but I know what you both mean.
Hi Darry
You've certainly started something with this question! It is probably just as well that petrol is going up and people will be driving less judging by the number of people who get frustrated over people's driving "styles". LOL (just joking before I get strung up).
I'm trying not to let too much annoy me these days - having an audience of two small people who take in EVERYTHING, and then repeats (well one who repeats and the other isn't there yet, but it won't be long) it's just counter productive!
Get a bicycle and you will get even more annoyed with bloomin car drivers who think nothing of opening their door and knocking you off your bike or cutting you up or driving too close to the kerb.
Then there are the boy racer nobs who think its funny to throw things at you or shout at you.
Its a dangerous game being on any kind of bike!
Hi Omendata
I used to ride many years ago when I was teenager and the roads weren't so bad then. I had a few bad experiences and it put me off for life, I would not even consider it now. My husband used to have a motorbike and that made me nervous enough. I take my hat off to you. Stay safe!
Ha, good to start a debate, we should all cycle anyway and keep fit, to many people waste money driving a few minutes up the road.
Omendata, try using a unicycle!
True Darry very true.
All of my neighbours drive their big 4x4 and Mercedes about 500 yards round the corner to the local small shops. One of them actually takes her dog for a walk in the car - drops it off and lets it run wild in the field while she sits in the car reading the paper waiting for the dog to do its business and come back.
Hey another topic maybe - Dog dirt and how much it costs us!
Must keep the focus on Money I dont want to disturb Donk again!
You know dog dirt never worried me until now that I have a two year old. It cost me half an hour the other day when i trod in it and had to clear it off my pathway leading to our house.
It's supposed to be lucky to tread in doggy poo, darry!
Tell that to his wife's new white carpet!
Ever tried to clean poo out of a light carpet? Not a nice experience!
My goodness what a forum - from Shares to dog poo!
Don't think it could get more esoteric!
>;o)
dlol
In a similar vein - using the wrong lane on roundabouts (especially just so they can gain a few metres) annoys me intensely!
I was just about to make a post when I remembered that this was an old thread, and was one of the first nails in the coffin of our old mate Donk. RIP.
Yes I nearly did the same Feline, whatever did happen to dear old Donk?
Don't worry ladies, Snoops is alive and well if it's culture you are after ...
Ah yes thank goodness for culture and good breeding Snoopy!!
Totally agree about the good breeding, Lillie, but isn't 'culture' something you grow in a test tube? :-)
Wasnt it something Boy George alluded to having?
What a sleazball he turned out to be in real life!
What a debate you,ve started.BRILL.Im with you darry on this one, drivers that cant be bothered to indicate, when you,ve waited at a stop ,and you could have gone had they indicated. Also, when cycling, and some drivers rant and throw things at you.I had a man that threw a can at me, that still had something in it,so when he stopped at traffic lights and i caught him up i knocked his window and threw the half full can back through window..GREAT FEELING.
You should have urinated in the can then threw it back - much more satisfying.
As a fellow cyclist drivers roaring past especially young twits in their fat exhaust noisy wee tw*t cars really give me the ire especially when they drive 1 inch away.
Throwing things at a cyclist is a definite nono - you should have taken his number and reported him to the police - that kind of offence can kill a cyclist.
My pal Alistair had the same thing happen with four asians in a black bmw - he managed to catch up with them as they pulled into a garage to get petrol - obviously thought 4 in the car no way anyone would bother them - Alistair is not one to be messed with especially when he is cycling - he put a brick through the drivers windows and actually dragged the guy through the broken window and gave the guy such a doing his face was unrecognisable. It was in the Evening Times newspaper and he actually got quite a lot of support from the public over it - never even went to court!!!
Good for Alistair, loved too have been there to see that.Glad he had plenty of support and didn,t have to go to court.
home buildings insurance you claim and they say its fair wear and tear its happened to me three times this year and never claimed in the last 15 years, admitted the last one was a test and have now gone with a different company. Also feel the same about people who do not indicate till the last minute, dangerous so and so"s

Thanks for your quick response, the only problem these days with complaining is not knowing what nutter is driving and how they react to flashing them.
Yeah you might get a blade between the eyes!
My pal Dave always sticks his finger at people - one day he did it and the guy got out of his car whilst he was stuck at the lights and bashed his window and told him to get out- needless to say Dave is a bit of a chicken and locked all his doors - lol go on have a laugh I know you need to!
The moral of this story and Darrys response is if you are going to give someone the finger or even flash them think twice if you arent prepared to get out and square up to the offender!
Too many nutters on the road - why driving a car makes people go so crazy is anyones guess. Was it really like this in the 60's 70's?
Do we now have a violent anger driven culture?
Methinks so!
