I have seen advertisements in our local free paper stating so,but I don`t know if they are genuine or not not. Also your local council website can advise on all grants available and will give contact numbers for the relevant departments.
Hi,
The Energy Saving Trust have details of the 'Warm Front' and other grants for heating and insulation, but they're only available to people in special situations (e.g. low income with with under 16 year old children or pensioners living in the property).
Have a look at:

I'm not aware of any specifically for assistance with double glazing but you will probably get assistance with cavity wall and loft insulation (I am having my cavity wall insulation done this afternoon which I got a free grant for because I have a child under the age of 16)and you may also qualify with assistance in getting an old boiler replaced for a more energy efficient one. Well worth visiting the Energy Saving Trust website as G-Man suggested as you can enter your details online and it will tell you what is available in your area. Even if you can't get a grant for double glazing hopefully there are other things that you will be able to do to make your home more energy efficient.
I looked into this a couple of months ago to try to prepare for the winter but was unsuccessful. There are many grants for other insulation as mentioned by Frenchwoodgirl and G-Man but if you do find any it would be great to find out how you did!
