Did you know that Samsung has just unveiled a new smartphone Galaxy Tab to rival the iPAD?

by , 1 year agoOpen Question

I think this is great news for those not able to afford the iPAD and will apparently cost about £200 compared to the extortionate cost of its rival product.

No, I wasn't aware and have just ordered an ipad!!! I will have to google this as I wasn't even aware that there was anything similar. It would be interesting to compare their features and price....and I am sincerely hoping that I haven't jumped the gun too much by getting an ipad.

Have just googled this....no release date as yet by Samsung but it is expected to be next month sometime and no prices have been released. From what I have read this is a smaller version of the ipad (7" screen v 9.7", lighter and maximum memory 32gb with the option of increasing this to 64gb). Not sure where £200 cost has come from as indications are that it is expected to be more expensive than this....no doubt there will be a lot more in the press over the next few weeks.

Stick to the iPad, my girlfriend recently got one and is currently reading with headphones in getting updates on her Smurf Village. It does way more than this, and although it is just an inflated iPod touch (which I personally own) she loves it all the same.
