Yeah, a few friends and I booked a boat for the day a couple of weeks ago and it was around £150 I think. Booking a boat for the weekend was close to £500.
We went to Reading, but not that familiar with other areas so not sure where else to recommend for this.
There's lots of things that you could do for a long weekend and they don't have to involve the Thames or be before the summer ends (late september or early october). How about a trip to the coast? A walking holiday somewhere? The list could go on.
Thanks for the advice but I am really keen on a trip down the Thames
Fair enough, the only reason I mentioned it was that I know hiring a boat for the weekend can be pretty expensive unless you can muster quite a few people to split the cost with. Hope you enjoy your trip.
How romantic, adventurous and individual. Places along the Thames are great. Almost everywhere is along the Thames e.g. Henley is lovely. I didn't know you cdoul do that!

Thanks palandraca yes I checked a few sites and the price was about £450 for a long weekend Fri-Monday. I leave the question open to see if anyone else has any suggestions
Sure, someone knows of a better deal somewhere. However, I did do my research beforehand and I couldn't find anything better unfortunately
