Have a look at the active ingredients stated on the label and compare with the cheaper brands. You might find this info for Frontline on the Frontline product page of their website
I used to give my dogs garlic tablets. This was certainly effective for fleas but no use for ticks. However, most of the time I was not in sheep country or in heather so I just used Frontline when I was on holiday and didn't know where I might be walking.
nope ive used cheaper brands and you dont kill them off unlike frontline,
Stick with Frontline as it works. If an animal gets fleas then it can be expensive to get rid of them properly, not just from the pet, but the home. The spray sold to kill them in the house is not cheap and you need a fair amount. Also it's a massive hassle having to wash everything and vacuum every day! For the sack of a couple of quid is it worth it?
My parents use frontline and our cats have never had flees, i think its worth sticking with them as its not worth the risk. I know someone who used a spray on flee killer for their dog but it just wasn't working, this may be because the dog would go in the sea and wash it off. If you follow the guidelines on the cheaper on to the letter and it doesn't work you can always ask for your money back. Frontline is just on and go, others may require your pet to stay dry for 24hrs etc. Make sure you read the instructions to aid your desition to switch.
Ive tried a few different brands on the cat but always go back to Frontline in my opinion its the best.
frontline is without doubt ther best brand i used for my cats
I stick to what I know it works for sure, which is Frontline. However, if you compare the chemical ingredients on both they will probably be quite similar.
If you give the cheaper brand a go, let us know :)
I always use frontline too and am reluctant to change to a cheaper option that may not work. I havent heard good things about the cheaper ones, so I would stick with frontline
dn reliable.
