I have a wife and three daughters and the house is littered with shoes. Whilst I have about 2 or 3 pairs! If it makes you happy, why worry. There are plenty of other things to worry about!!!

Why do you girls need so many anyway - my wife buys them and in a few weeks or so gives them to the charity shops still new!

7 is the magic number - anything in excess of this is an obsession.

Me Too, you just have to have shoes that go with outfits dont you, i have taken to storing mine under thed, although i was watching come dine with me a few weeks agao, and the lady there had converted her shed into storage for her shoes - that was definatley an obsession!!

Haha, the ultimate quesiton. How many is too many. See, now a man would not be allowed to ask that question as they'd be criticised by the female population on here. Surely it should be a number of pairs a month that you should look at? I have 4 pair and that is all I need - that covers me for everyday wear, summer wear, winter wear etc. I don't see how a women needs so many shoes!! And why oh why do women always buy one pair, but never sell a pair to keep the numbers down? Line them all up and pick out your essentials. Then you should have say 1 or 2 pairs that you should keep because you want them, nothing more. All the others, sell, make some money.

I must disagree - 1 or 2 pairs!!? I can't run 4 miles in my flip flops, attend a divisional meeting in my running shoes or wear my office heels on the beach... The footwear needs to suit the occasion - I think men can just get away with wearing the same shoes with jeans, chinos, shorts etc so they don't need the variety of styles. :)

Oh is that the excuse?! Well it fascinates me when women open up their cupboard and it's full, and I literally mean full, of shoes! Still, each to their own...

By far not a woman, but my wife has a lot of shoes, but she does all of them every month.- I don't keep an eye, but I do get concerned on storage space, so I do ask.
If she started buying shoes to the point were their weren't being worn, then I think there is a serious case of .......Obsession?

An obsession would be when it is seriously affecting your storage space. However, if you can accommodate them all, lucky you and I'd call it a hobby then ;)

If you've got alot of shoes and some of them you havn't even worn, you just think they look good or are too expensive to wear, then you've got a problem. And when is buying shoes ever a hobby? I hate it,its a chore,I like nice shoes but i don't want them to cripple me,and i don't want them sitting in the back of my wardrobe gathering dust.

then i have a problem i have around 50 to 60 pairs lol i love shoes

by abigail69, 1 year ago

when you have more than one pair in the same colour or you stop paying your bills to buy shoes instead. If you can afford to buy them i dont see the problem or find a nice man/women to buy them for you

by Wiggy, 1 year ago
